Congratulations to 2016 Brain Bee World Champion, Ana Ghenciulescu!

 

The annual Brain Bee World Championship showcased the best secondary school students in the field of neuroscience from around the world. Hosted by FENS at the 10th Forum of Neuroscience in Copenhagen, 25 National Student Champions gathered for four days of competition, conference experience, a national stem cell laboratory tour, and cultural activities. On July 3rd, the winner representing Romania was presented a scholarship, summer internship opportunity, and trophy in front of more than 4,000 scientists at the Brain Bee Award Ceremony. Miss Ghenciulescu is the first representative from a European nation to be awarded the top prize! In 2nd and 3rd Place were Miss Nooran AbuMazen representing Canada, and Mr. Matthew Fulton, representing New Zealand, respectively.
